Maoists: Collector needs urgent hospitalisation

Update on the Sukma collector's abduction. Maoists now say Alex Paul Menon's condition has worsened and he needs to be hospitalised urgently. Late this morning, mediator Manish Kunjam of the All India Adivasi Mahasabha had left for Bastar to deliver the asthma medicines for the collector, all the while reiterating that he would not hold talks with the Maoists.
