15% Mumbai trains not running: 2 dead, 15 injured

A Central Railway spokesperson today claimed that 85% of the 1,580-plus regular services on the suburban sector which is patronized by over 4.5 million commuters daily, will be operational. The 15 per cent shortfall obviously lead to the tragic deaths of two people who fell of a moving train between suburban Nahur and Bhandup when they hit their head on a signal pole. The number of injured has gone up to 15.
