The Central Government has alerted Assam and adjoining states in the run-up to United Liberation Front of Assam's (ULFA) Raising Day on April 7. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an advisory to the Assam Government and the neighbouring states to be on alert in the run-up to the ULFA Raising Day.

The Centre has inputs that anti-talk factions of ULFA may try to create blockades/law and order situations in the area as their leaders have directed their cadres to execute plans to create disturbances and disrupt normal life in the region.

As a precaution, security forces in the area have also been kept on alert to thwart any plans by ULFA.
