Why is Pak army chief in Saudi Arabia?

Pakistan Army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani is on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he will hold talks on bilateral relations, especially defence and security cooperation, a military spokesman said today. Kayani left for Saudi Arabia last night though an official announcement was made only this morning.

Kayani's visit assumes significance as it comes at a time when Pakistani lawmakers are debating recommendations for revamping ties with the US and NATO and recasting the countrys foreign policy.
