Efforts were on to repair the damages to NH-31A and NH-55 by landslide on war-footing, but as of now massive landslides along the Siliguri-Gangtok highway has brought relief operations to a standstill. Choppers deployed by the IAF cannot reach the affected areas due to inclement weather. A 700-strong ITBP is distributing food, medication and helping in relief operations, but the army is yet to reach the spots after several landslides
