Rs 5 bn unused, Pak asks for more flood aid

The country has launched an appeal for international assistance for the victims of the floods in the country despite the fact that it has not utilised five billion rupees collected for last years flood disaster.

According to the Dawn, the fund set up for collecting donations last year still has five billion rupees, and despite efforts made by the National Disaster Management Authority the government is reluctant to release the amount for relief and rescue operations.
