'James Murdoch knew phone hacking was widespread'

More on the Mudochs: British lawmakers are of the view that News of The World CEO James Murdoch knew much more of the tabloids phone hacking scandal than he has already revealed after evidence emerged that he had been told it was not just the work of a single rogue reporter. 
 
Lawyers who acted for News International in negotiating the 2008 settlement yesterday suggested to MPs that Murdoch had been told by the then editor that the practice was more widespread.
