Gaddafi hometown Sirte falls

Earlier today, Libyan fighters said they had taken control of the last holdout of Muammar Gaddafi loyalists in his hometown of Sirte.

The National Transitional Council fighters said they were still battling pockets of resistance in that district of the city, but they were in control of the district. The council has said it will officially declare Libya liberated when Sirte falls.
