The 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly's tenure ends on May 20, 2012, while that of the 40-member Goa Assembly ends on June 14. The Election Commission has informed the Centre that it is looking at a one-window option to conduct the Assembly elections here with those in Punjab, Uttarakhand and Manipur and complete them by February end.
