Back in India: The Delhi High Court today deferred till tomorrow the hearing on the bail plea of Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh, arrested for his alleged role in the 2008 cash-for-vote scam.

Justice Suresh Kait decided to hear Singh's interim as well as regular bail pleas tomorrow at 2.15 PM after the state counsel sought an adjournment due to non-availability of its senior advocate to advance arguments on its behalf.
Singh moved the high court after a city court had on September 28 rejected both his interim and regular bail pleas, saying his role was "major" in the entire episode aimed at "disgracing" parliamentary democracy.
