Senior BJP leader L.K Advani has blamed the Congress party for the snags that have hit his nationwide tour and called it an attempt to hinder his tour against corruption.

The Uttar Pradesh government and the Railways yesterday denied Advani permission to hold a rally at a railway ground in Mughalsarai in the state, the next stop of the Jan Chetna Yatra.

Reacting sharply, Advani said the Congress is getting jittery after seeing overwhelming public response. "Why this kind of approach should have been adopted towards a meeting that had been officially permitted and to suddenly say that we will not permit any political party when they have actually been giving permission. When I heard this I told someone they should have said that permission had been granted for a week," Advani said.
