On day 1 of Rahul Gandhi's roadshow in UP, the Congress general secretary is addressing a rally in Barabanki. Draws on family to begin his speech, saying his family has long ties with Barabanki.

He says the UP government has not allowed central funds to reach the needy, and it is the middlemen and netas who are benefitting from MNREGA. He says the Congress wants to employ people through MNREGA.
