Libya to announce interim govt today

Libya is expected to announce the formation of a new cabinet, in a first step to forming an elected government.

Prime Minister-designate Abdurrahim al-Keib said all of Libya's regions would be represented. The transitional government is tasked with drafting a constitution and holding democratic elections.

Three months after Col Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown, Libya's new authorities are trying to assert their control over the entire country. More on bbc.co.uk
