86 countries vote for UN resolution against Iran

The UN General Assembly has passed a resolution against Iran with a record number of votes, condemning the country for its human rights violations that have taken the shape of "executions" and "torture". 

The 193-member Assembly also passed resolutions condemning human rights violations in North Korea and Myanmar.

The resolution on Iran was passed by a record number of votes -- 86 -- in favour with 32 against and 59 abstentions. India abstained from voting.
