Thomas moves HC seeking stay on new CVC

Beleaguered former Central Vigilance Commissioner P J Thomas has moved the Delhi High Court requesting stay on the appointment of the new CVC.

Thomas has sought the court's direction on the appeal filed by him on March 16 and urged President Pratibha Patil to wait for the decision before the new CVC is appointed.

The Supreme Court had on March 3 quashed the appointment of Thomas as CVC, as a chargesheet was pending against him in a corruption case.
