Counter-terrorism expert B Raman tells Sheela Bhatt: "The National Investigative Agency needs to investigate if these blasts are retaliation for the arrests of two alleged Indian Mujahideen operatives, who provided vehicles used in 2008 serial blasts in Gujarat. The blasts had killed 56 and wounded over 200."

On July 6, Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad, led by Rakesh Maria, had arrested Mohammed Mobin Abdul Shakoor Khan alias Irfan (32) and his cousin Ayub Raja Amin Shaikh (28) in an Arms Act case from suburban Mankhurd.

The two have been remanded in police custody till July 16.
