Dewani hitman close to death with cancer

After a hiatus of over a month, news on the Anni Dewani murder.

The alleged hit man used by honeymoon murder suspect Shrien Dewani to kill his bride Anni, is on his death bed with cancer.

Xolile Mngeni, 23, is said to have shot Anni, 28, dead during a car-jacking incident last year. He underwent an unsuccessful surgery a month ago to halt the growth of his brain tumour, and now sources are saying that he may have only days to live.

South African prosecutors fear he will die before they can grill him in a Cape Town court next month.

Shrien is probably praying -- for the man's death.
