July 04, 2011  15:48

Here's another Indian going places. The Wall Street Journal reports quoting a person familiar with the matter that Neeraj Swaroop, chief executive of Standard Chartered PLC's India unit, will soon take over as the head of its Southeast Asia operations in Singapore.

A search is underway to find Swaroop's replacement, who will be replacing Ray Ferguson in Singapore.

For StanChart, this will be the second big ticket appointment from India, Jaspal Bindra who moved on from heading the South and Southeast Asia ops to become the bank's Asia CEO being the first.
