A 30-year old Indian national has won a brand new 2012 model BMW 3-series as the first lucky winner of a local promotion in Dubai.

Fahd Abdullah, a resident of UAE, won the Dubai Shopping Malls Group promotion, which gives 10 lucky winners the chance to win BMW cars during Dubai Summer Surprises and 'Ramadan-in-Dubai', a DSMG statement said.

Abdullah's winning raffle coupon was the result of buying a camera from a store which gave him the lucky coupon. Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE) said that nine more chances to win BMW cars beckon shoppers every week at 14 participating malls. The next draw will take place on July 7.

The 10-week city-wide promotion runs concurrently across 14 participating malls in Dubai with the last draw set to be held on August 31 to coincide with the last date of the Ramadan-in-Dubai festival, ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr.
