Doctors warn Anna risks kidney failure if fast continues

Toral Varia reporting from the MMRDA grounds says doctors who checked Anna Hazare at 12 pm confirm he is weak. His blood pressure is 130/90 standing, his toungue is dry and his skin shows signs of dehydration. Anna is still running a fever of 100, down from 102 last night.

However, his chest and throat are clear and his heart is functioning normally. His Sodium and Chlorides levels are lows. Doctors from the government's JJ Hospital and the private hospital, Breach Candy, strongly advice him to discontue fasting as they are worried it may lead to kidney failure. Doctors say, "We reaffirm that further fasting is discouraged."
