Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, with tension over the Mullaperiyar dam issue continuing, the TN booking agents' association has decided to stop transportation of goods to Kerala from December 21. Given that there are 6,000 agents in the association who arrange transportation of goods worth about Rs 1,500 crore from Tamil Nadu to Kerala every day, the embargo will have an effect on trade between the two states.
