Orson Welles' Citzen Kane Oscar up for sale

The Oscar trophy which was awarded to Orson Welles for writing 'Citizen Kane' in 1942, will be put up for auction in Los Angeles later this month.  

The gold statuette, which Welles won for best screenplay for the film, is expected to fetch up to 1 million dollars.  

According to auction house Nate D Sanders, the Oscar is overall in very good condition except for some tarnishing on the legs.
