New sports bill soon, says minister Ajay Maken

In the Rajya Sabha today, Union Sports minister Ajay Sports announced that a new sports bill would be introduced soon.

The minister said that in order to bring transparency and accountability in the functioning of the National Sports Federations and Indian Olympic Association, the government would be formulating a regulatory framework with the objective of promoting good governance among sports bodies.
