India irons out PM's itinerary with Bangladesh

Visiting national security advisor Shiv Shankar Menon has discussed itinerary details of Indian premier Manmohan Singh with prime minister Sheikh Hasina, reports bdnews24.com. 

Singh is scheduled to visit Dhaka Sept 6-7 when he is expected to sign a number of significant deals for cooperation between the two neighbours.  When Menon met Hasina today at her official residence Ganabhaban, the advisor hoped that the ties between Bangladesh and India would strengthen, her press secretary Abul Kalam Azad told reporters in a post-meet briefing.

Singh will be accompanied by the chief ministers of West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura during his visit to Dhaka.
