Absentees at Arjuna award ceremony

Ace shooter Gagan Narang collected his Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award today in a glittering ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, but among the Arjuna awardees there were quite a few absentees: the most high-profile among them being Indian pace spearhead Zaheer Khan who could not attend the function as he was recently operated upon on his injured ankle in England. Others who were not present at the prestigious event due to various reasons were tennis ace Somdev Devvarman, gymnast Ashish Kumar and discus thrower Vikas Gowda.
