The three demands of Mumbai cabbies

Rediff.com's N Ganesh adds that top on the list of demands by the Bombay Taximen union is the: 1 withdrawing of the newly introduced process of dispatching driving licence by Speedpost.

"The taxi drivers live in slums that do not have proper postal address which result in licences dispatched by the Regional Transport Office not reaching its destination. About 6000 drivers, both new and those renewing have been effected by this process. We want the licences for taxi drivers to be handed over by the RTO in person," said Quadros.
