Crucial human organs transplantation bill in Parl

Interesting bill coming up for presentation in Parliament today -- it's called the Transplantation of Human Organs (Amendment) Bill, 2009. The bill basically makes it mandatory for the medical staff treating a patient at the ICU/medical unit to request relatives of brain dead patients for organ donation and requires that all organ donation cases go through an Authorisation Committee. If it does come through, it will save many lives.
