So who is D V Sadananda Gowda?

The new Karnataka chief minister is a former president of the Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is a MP representing the Udupi Chikmagalur constituency and has been pitch-forked into the reckoning as a chief ministerial candidate following the resignation of B S Yeddyruppa on Thursday because he is seen as a non-controversial candidate.
