What ails Congress? Leader who joined BJP says...
January 18, 2023

Former Congress leader Manpreet Singh Badal joins BJP. When asked what ails the Congress party, Badal said, "How can you operate with a party that's at war with itself? There are coteries. One is made LoP, another is made leader of Legislative party and these coteries fight among themselves. This is the situation in every state."

Talking about the BJP Badal said, "In politics, I have got a few opportunities when I met a 'Sher'.
A few days ago, I met a 'Sher' and that is India's Home minister Amit Shah. He said a heart-touching thing about Punjab that it has suffered 400 attacks for India."

Manpreet Singh Badal on Wednesday resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party and alleged that the Punjab unit of the Congress supported "factionalism."

In the resignation letter issued to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Badal said, "It is with deep sadness that I am writing to tender my resignation from primary official membership of the Indian National Congress."

He further wrote, "I merged the People's Party of Punjab seven years ago with your party. I did so with immense hope, and an expectation of being integrated into an organisation with a rich history, that would allow me to serve the people of Punjab and its interests to the best of my ability. Initial enthusiasm gradually gave way to disappointing disillusionment."
