February 17, 2023

A day after after the burnt bodies of two Muslim men were found in a car in Haryana, a kidnapping case has been filed against five men, suspected to be cow vigilantes.

Nasir, 25, and Junaid, 35, had been kidnapped from Rajasthan's Bharatpur district on Wednesday, their families alleged in their complaint to the police.

"The same bolero car was found in burnt condition in Loharu, Bhiwani district in Haryana. Two burnt bodies were also found. Their identification would be done only after DNA analysis," Gaurav Srivastava, IG, Bharatpur Range said.

He added that special teams have been formed to nab those named in the FIR filed by the victim's family. Junaid has five cases pertaining to cow smuggling against him.

Whether the two were burnt alive or died in a fire that broke out in the car is being investigated. The families of the two kidnapped men identified the vehicle and said that the owner of the car was known to Nasir and Junaid.
