Closest BJP has come to fighting Brits: Mohua on BBC
February 15, 2023

TMC MP Mohua Moitra on the income-tax surveys conducted at the BBC's offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. The MP who has never minced words inside and outside Parliament tweeted, "IT "Survey' continuing at BBC offices. Closest anyone in BJP has ever come to fighting the British."

Yesterday, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Veteran Congress Leader Digvijaya Singh reacted to the Income Tax department surveys saying, ""Probably for the first time in the 100-year history of BBC, such a raid has been conducted against them. Their only fault is that they made a documentary of Gujarat riots in which everyone's side was included."

DMK MP Senthilkumar S had also condemned the survey saying, "Strongly condemn the raids at BBC @BBCIndiaoffice Delhi. This is throttling the freedom of expression and particularly the press. This government is hitting back for release of BBC Gujarat riots documentary. The 56-inch chest has started to feel the heat. Downfall starts."
