A Sessions Court in Lucknow today signed orders to release Kerala journalist Sidhique Kappan on bail, reports Live Law.

The court has accepted his bail bonds and he is likely to walk out of jail tomorrow.

Kappan was lodged in jail after his arrest in October 2020 while he was on his way to Hathras in Uttar Pradesh, where a Dalit woman had died after allegedly being raped.
