BJP wins majority in Uttarakhand assembly

The Bharatiya Janata Party has crossed the halfway mark and attained a majority in the Uttarakhand assembly.
According to the latest Election Commission trends, the BJP has won 40 seats and is leading in 7 seats.
The Congress has won 16 seats and is leading on three seats.
The halfway mark for the Uttarakhand assembly is 35.
