India takes over G20 presidency
December 01, 2022

As India today took over the presidency of the G20, the forum of the world's largest economies, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for a "shift in fundamental mindset to benefit humanity as a whole."

Modi said that India's yearlong G20 presidency will be "inclusive, ambitious, decisive, and action-oriented".

The government also seeks to build consensus on creating disaster and climate-resilient infrastructure and debt sustainability.
