Mehbooba Mufti's detention can't be forever: SC

The Supreme Court permits Iltija Mufti and her brother to meet their mother Mehbooba Mufti in detention. Iltija had approached the apex court seeking the release of her mother on Tuesday.
The SC says detention cannot be forever and "some via media" should be explored. The court also said that the PDP leader should place a request to authorities for attending party meetings and asked the J-K administration to respond to Iltija Mufti's fresh plea challenging detention of her mother under the Public Safety Act.
