India overtakes Brazil, has 2nd highest COVID-19 cases

India has surpassed Brazil to take the second spot in the list of nations worst-hit by the coronavirus pandemic after a record spike of 90,802 fresh cases in the last 24 hours, the Union health ministry data showed.

The total coronavirus tally stands at 42,04,614 including 8,82,542  active cases.

With new 1,016 deaths, the total toll rises to 71,642.

Total 32,50,429 people have recovered so far, according to the health ministry data.
