UK hits its testing target
May 01, 2020
The United Kingdom carried out 1,22,000 coronavirus tests on the last day of April, passing the government's target of 100,000.

The UK health secretary Matt Hancock thanked the teams involved. Hancock said, "Everybody worked together with grit and determination to reach a shared goal. When things went wrong, which they did every single day, believe me, we didn't ask who we could blame but how we could fix it."
