Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav hit out at the Yogi Adityanath-led government after gangster Vikas Dubey was killed in an encounter.

He wrote on Twitter, "Darasal ye car palti nahi, raaz khulne se sarkaar palatne se bachayi gayi hai."

Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Digvijaya Singh also reacted to Vikas Dubey's death - "Exactly what we had been suspecting, happened now. Which political figures, police and other officials that Vikas Dubey was connected to, will never be known now."
