The Kerala government has asked locals who involved in rescue operations at Kozhikode Airport to go into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure.

"Local people who braved all odds to save passengers in the Air India Express plane crash should go into self-quarantine as a precautionary measure," state health minister KK Shailaja said.

The state government to conduct COVID-19 tests of all, she added.
