Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote at the polling booth in Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ranip, Ahmedabad.

He was accompanied by Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah.

Shah is the BJP candidate from Gandhinagar, a seat which earlier belonged to party patriarch L K Advani.  -- ANI
