Assembly selects Cong's nominee Ramesh Kumar as Speaker
May 25, 2018

That's what the Vidhana Soudha looks like.

Ramesh Kumar of the Congress has been elected unanimously as the Speaker of the Karnataka Assembly.

This seems a clear indication from the BJP that they will let the floor test go through.

Yeddy has said that the Congress-JD-S alliance will not last more than three months. A statement predicting the fall of the government is to be expected from BJP's CM candidate and in fact it's CM for a day, but what has the JD-S worried is that deputy CM G Paremeshwara has said there was no decision on backing Kumaraswamy as CM for a full five years.
