Terrorists abduct army jawan in Kashmir's Pulwama
June 14, 2018

In the continued targeting of security forces in Kashmir during the Ramzan ceasefire, terrorists today abducted an army jawan in Pulwama. The abducted jawan has been identified as Aurangzeb, a resident of Poonch district. The incident took place in the Pulwama district of south Kashmir. A police investigation is under way.

There has been a dip in stone pelting and street violence in the Valley since the ceasefire announced by the Centre. However security forces have come under attack from terrorists on several occasions.

In the last two days, encounters have taken place in Bandipora and Shopian. A couple of infiltration attempts too were foiled near the LoC and several terrorists neutralised.
