In Saharanpur, UP, a statue of the Dalit icon was allegedly vandalised (see image) by miscreants. It is now being restored. Police say that the plot of land on which the statue is located is disputed and belongs to a hostel. "We're probing if it was done due to dispute or got crumbled due to wear & tear," the police said.


In Badaun, UP, three days after the BSP leaders in the district installed a new "saffron" statue of Ambedkar in the Dugraiya village with the help of district administration, the colour of the statue was changed to blue today.
