Hundreds of thousands sign petition to 'save Uber' in London

Uber, after losing its licence to operate in London, has stoked the rage of its customers by sending a strongly-worded email about TfL and encouraging them to sign a petition.

A petition, on Change.org, was receiving about 1,000 signatures a minute Friday morning, as people reacted to the Sadiq Khan-endorsed decision to remove Uber from London's streets.

The email, sent to UK customers, says: "As you may have heard, the Mayor and Transport for London have announced they will not be renewing Ubers licence to operate in our city when it expires on September 30.
