Naidu omitted from Ivanka dinner
November 28, 2017

US First Daughter Ivanka Trump, the chief guest at the dinner at the Falaknuma Palace, Hyderabad, tonight is at the unwitting centre of a fight between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The Prime Minister's Office drew up a list of 101 invitees, the who's who of the country for the dinner, but omitted Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.

There were lots of behind-the-scene activities to ensure Naidu is not invited, but at the same time, there was a pressure on the PMO to include him.

We are told that as a compromise, the PMO has decided to invite his daughter-in-law, who is an industrialist. The TDP is believed to be upset with what they perceive to be a slur on their leader But nothing can be done.
