November 07, 2017

Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama Padmavati has run into rough weather yet again with the film distributors refusing to release the film in cinema halls in Rajasthan.

The distributors said if the film hurts the sentiments of people due to the distortion of historical facts they will not pick up its distribution rights.

"Let the Shri Rajput Karni Sena and filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali reach an amicable solution. We will buy the distribution rights only after that," Raj Bansal, a leading film distributor from the state, said. Other film distributors too echoed Bansal's sentiments.

The film is scheduled to be released on December 1in cinema halls across the country .
