Maneka Gandhi hospitalised, may be airlifted to Delhi
June 02, 2017
Union Minister Maneka Gandhi has been admitted to the emergency ward of a hospital in Pilibhit after a breathing problem, reports news agency ANI. However, hospital officials denied that the union minister had a breathing problem. "She has a stone problem in the gall bladder and might be airlifted to Delhi," they said.
Gandhi has lauded the governments move to ban
sale of cattle for slaughter at animal markets. She has maintained that animal markets were
started for farmers so that they could sell their cattle to other
farmers. "So if I have a cow and a calf and I dont want to keep the
calf, then I can sell it in the market, Gandhi, who is also an animal
rights activist, had said.
