1 dead, many injured in knife attack in Germany

One person was killed and several were injured in a knife attack in a supermarket in the northern German city of Hamburg on Friday, the city's police said.
According to reports, the attacker began wildly striking at shoppers before being stopped by police.
The attack happened in the Barmbek region in the north of the city, police said.
They warned people to stay away from the area. Witnesses said the attack happened at a branch of Edeka, Germany's largest supermarket chain.
