January 20, 2017
Appealing pro-Jallikattu agitators to withdraw their protest, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister today said that the bull-taming sport will likely to take place in 1 to 2 days.
"The Tamil Nadu government has sent draft of amendment to the MHA this morning. I believe draft would be approved in 1-2 days which will pave way for Jallikattu,' the CM said.
He further said, "There are full chances that Jallikattu will be organised within 1-2 days, therefore we urge protesters to withdraw immediately."
"Had detailed discussion with constitutional experts regarding amendments to be enacted on Jallikattu law by the state," he added.
