Alphonce Simbu of Tanzania won the 2017 Mumbai Marathon after edging out Kenya's Joshua Kipkorir in a thrilling finish, in Mumbai on Sunday.

Kenya's Bornes Kitur won the women's marathon.

Kheta Ram was the first Indian male elite athlete to cross the finish line in the full marathon, followed by Bahadur Singh and Sanjith respectively.
